As you drive into the estate, the lush green gardens are so magical I was tempted to wander off and explore the grounds.  We were somewhat unprepared for that brisk cold November morning, from memory it was only 11 degrees and by the clattering of Sheridan's teeth Ugg boots and a Snuggy would have come in handy.  Thankfully the bridal suite was toasty warm.

The bridal party consisted of the breathtaking bride, Melissa, four bridesmaids, two flower girls and of course the beautiful mother of the bride.   It was a pleasure to meet them all and make them look gorgeous. 

Melissa and James were married at St Frances Xavier Church in Berrima and despite the early morning showers and cold,  they were still able to roam the lush grounds of Milton Park and get some amazing images.

David of SOCIETY [photography] did an outstanding job capturing the day.

For anyone considering a country estate wedding, Milton Park certainly deserves an inspection.  Built at the turn of the century it OOZES romance.

Boy did the jewellery sparkle!  Each piece was more beautiful than the one before it.  Broaches, earrings, necklaces, hair combs, bracelets and more.

Once again, Era Spray on Foundation was used on Ashleigh - you just can't beat its gorgeous satin finish and it lasted all day.

When I met Demelza for her makeup trial and we went over her desired look  for herself and her bridal party (something classical) she told me she had sourced her very own antique letter press to make her wedding invitations.  Her OWN letterpress!! Ohhhhhhhhh how I'd love to have my own letterpress - makeup is one of my weak points, the other - stationary.  

Demelza also loves the colour Olive Green and this was used as a key accent colour for the bridal party and throughout the theming in the gorgeous Sun Room at The Ivy.  

Even more special than the Antique Letterpress (i promise to source an image of the invites), Demelza found a beautiful pair of Prada heels perfect for the day - fabulous darling!

Demelza and Tim were married in July this year on a perfect winter's day.  Blue skies and not a raindrop in sight.

Reception: The Sunroom at The Ivy

Photographer of choice for this wedding was Infinity Photography and they certainly captured some lovely moments.

The bridal party walked leisurely down the street to the Ceremony  that was held at St Brigid's Catholic Church ,Kent St Sydney.

 Afterwards the bridal party headed over to  Sydneys Royal Botanic Gardens.

The Reception was held at The Observatory.

They had a spectacular day.  Photography was by Ale of ale photography.

Assisting me on this wedding was the talented Sheridan Leghorn and the girls hair was styled by  Lianne of Dream Reflection.

Emma's gown was by Stephen Khalil.  She opted for soft look in her makeup.  Emma's Dad put in a request - he wanted to recognise his daughter when he walked her down the aisle :-)

She was absolutely breathtaking.

This is my favourite shot of the day.. i love the way the sun is streaming through the trees.. dreamy..

I've known Thomas now for 15 years!  I feel a little old saying that.  He not only shot a wedding or two of my friends but I was also one of his brides many moons ago.  I was delighted when he asked if I'd do the makeup on this shoot.  Besides being an amazing photographer capturing the most romantic of moments, he is very down to earth and just a pleasure to work with.  I've no hesitation recommending Thomas.

The event kicked off at 10am with countless brides coming through to see what Sydney's elite Bridal suppliers had to offer.  Champers and canapes a plenty, the day was a huge success. 

I met many lovely brides who were accompanied by their girlfriends/ mums and some even managed to bring along their beloved Fiance's - what patient men they were.  Major brownie points there!

Gowns by Lisa Gowing, Basilica and Mariana Hardwick were paraded throughout the event by Gorgeous Models, Teresa, Felicity, Piper and Sabrina.  Peppers Menswear model was the charming Diego.  Hair by Christopher Hanna.

Makeup for Teresa, Felicity and Piper was done by myself and Karen.  Foundation used was ERA Spray on Foundation - it lasted ALL day - we started on the girls at 8am. The first show was at 10am and the final event finished at 9pm.  It was a long day! just like a wedding.  For the eyes I opted for  Harlotte's new smudge pots and eye shadows and teamed them with Harlotte Half Lashes.  Oooh la la.
